Explanation of each symbol of the furnace’s name::
С – resistance – the type of heating;
Н – chamber – a constructive feature;
З – protective (controlled) – workspace environment;
5 – the width of the working space in decimeters;
10 – the length of the working space in decimeters;
3 – the height of the working space in decimeters;
9 – the nominal temperature in °C, is conditionally reduced by 100 times.
Description
Electric furnace СНЗ-5.10.3/9
СНЗ – electric furnace designed for hardening in a protective atmosphere.
Furnace structure
The frame of the electric furnace is an integral structure made of profiled and sheet steel.
The electric furnace frame is a welded structure made of section and plate steel.
Welded seams are gas-tight.
The upper cover of the frame is made removable for easy installation and repair of lining.
Inner layer of the lining – brick ШЛ-0,4.
Intermediate layer – refractory plates (ШПГТ) or ceramic-perlite.
Thermal insulation – basalt mats (ММПБ).
The heating elements are placed on the sides and on the bottom of the working chamber on the tubes of the MCR.
The heaters outputs are electrically insulated from the frame within ceramic insulators.
Circulating fan assembly is installed in the upper part of the furnace frame in the center of the working area.
Protective atmosphere
The protective atmosphere is supplied through an inlet tube in the furnace vault.
The flow rate of the atmosphere is monitored with a rotameter and regulated with a control valve above the rotameter.
The protective atmosphere is discharged through a pipe in the front lower part of the furnace chamber.
Atmosphere exit is made through condensate separator – to collect binder condensate evaporating when the cage is heated.
The excess pressure in the furnace is controlled by a pressure gauge in the rotameter panel.
Flow rate of protective atmosphere is up to 9 m3/hour.
Control unit
Control unit is a hinged metal cabinet, which contains control and regulation devices, power executive devices (thyristors), switching and protective armature.
Principal circuit diagram of the control unit is given in the documentation.
Temperature control and regulation is carried out with the help of thermal converter TXA (installed in the vault of the working chamber) and temperature regulator TermoPro 601.
The heat treatment time is set with a timer.
The circuitry of the electric furnace includes heating interlocks (limit switch) and circulation fan operating interlocks when the door is opened.
The furnace housing is provided with additional inputs for control thermocouples.
