Bell-type furnaces up to 1000 °C
Bell-type furnaces are the best option for annealing (bright annealing) rolled sheets, strips, and wires in coils.
The main structural elements of bell-type furnaces are one or more stationary lined stands, on which the following are installed:
- - annealing material;
- - muffle used when heat treatment is required in a protective atmosphere or vacuum;
- - lined heating hood;
- - rapid cooling hood.
The heating elements are placed on the inner surface of the side walls of the heating hood. There are furnace fans installed in the stands that carry out closed circulation of the furnace atmosphere. In furnaces with a protective atmosphere between the hood and the stand, as well as between the muffle and the stand, there are sand gates. There is a water-cooled rubber seal additionally installed between the muffle and the stand to reduce the protective atmosphere consumption.
Electricity is supplied to the stand, and the hood heaters are connected through contact connections when the hood is seated on the stand. The exact fit of the heating hood on the stand is achieved with the help of guide posts. One heating hood can serve several stands. The most rational configuration option is 1 heating hood, 3 stands, 3 muffles, and 2 accelerated cooling hoods.
